Brooke Lanier has some beautiful new oil paintings and ceramics of Maine, and some new pieces inspired by the swimming pool of the SS United States. Since some of her new pieces are collage-informed, she wanted to share how she started making collages of her own photos, contemplating the unreliable and malleable nature of memory, and transforming them into paintings.
