Jacque Ferretti’s “Lines, Numbers, and Guests” — 3rd Street Gallery
When: Friday, October 28th – Sunday, November 27th (gallery hours vary)
Where: 3rd Street Gallery, 610 S 3rd St
Jacque Ferretti’s show “Lines, Numbers, and Guests” opens at 3rd Street Gallery on Friday, October 28. The show will run through Sunday, November 27.
“I am primarily an oil painter and mixed media artist. I have been a member of 3rd Street Gallery for well over a decade.
This selection of paintings intrigued me. As I moved from one painting to the next and found that visible images of lines, numbers, letters and animal and human forms continued to appear.
This progression of similar images continued over the last few months; hence the title of the show: Lines, Numbers & Guests. As an abstract painter, I don’t usually discover strokes or marks within the paintings that repeat themselves from one painting to the next with clear and precise images.
Although I have noticed numerous paintings with faces within my abstract images throughout the years, very common in abstract art, this transition was different. I chose ‘Guests’ in the title because I Try not to question or judge what I paint, especially while I am in the process of painting. It is fine if it remains a mystery.”
3rd Street Gallery is an Artist-Owned and Run Cooperative of local area artists. We’re located at 610 S 3rd Street. Gallery hours: Fridays, 4:00—8:00 p.m., Saturdays, 1:00—5:00 p.m., and Sundays, 12:00-4:00 p.m.
