Help For Ukraine (50% off Food & Drink on Thursday, 3/17) — Brauhaus Schmitz
When: Thursday, March 17th, 12pm – 12am
Where: Brauhaus Schmitz, 718 South St.
“As war rages in Ukraine the images on TV are heartbreaking and terrifying. The Ukrainian people have been forced to flee their homes to seek safety in neighboring countries without knowing where their next meal might be coming from. In fact Philly’s own Chef Mike Strauss has recently joined the relief efforts in Poland to help feed the millions of refugees now dealing with this crisis. We applaud and support Mike in his selfless act as well as the numerous events and fundraisers that have already taken place in this great city! We feel compelled to do something as well. On Thursday many in this country will be out celebrating our freedoms as Irish Americans or College Basketball fans and it seems like a good opportunity to raise some funds for our European brothers and sister. Brauhaus will open our doors at 12 noon on Thursday 3/17.
50% of all Food and Beverage purchases will go to support the efforts of World Central Kitchens. We hope you can stop by for a beer or a bite to eat, and take in some basketball while supporting a great cause. Brauhaus Schmitz stands with Ukraine and we all hope for a quick return to peace across the European Continent.”
