Tour & Talk with Katie Kaplan
Get a behind-the-scenes look at our new exhibition, “Of Earthen Kin: Works by Katie Kaplan.” Kaplan is a Philadelphia-based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans printmaking, sculpture, textiles, video, and installation, all rooted in cultural organizing, activist art, and mutual aid. In Of Earthen Kin, she focuses on the environment, particularly through the lens of vibrating landscapes and close-up examinations of fungi and foliage.
Kaplan will lead us through the galleries and provide insight about her artistic practice, inspirations, and the stories behind the works in the show. The tour will be followed by a Q&A with the artist.
