S.O.S. – Skeletons on South!
Congrats! You found a skeleton! Can you find them all?
You’ve probably heard it already: South Street Is Dead! We’ve hidden 10 quirky skeletons throughout our neighborhood and we need your help finding them!
The Event: Throughout the month of October, visitors, neighbors, and all who pass through South Street are invited to participate in our Skeletons on South Scavenger Hunt! With the help of local artist Rob Windfelder of Crash Bang Boom (528 S. 4th), 11 local businesses have a “runaway” skeleton painted in their window.
Find the hidden skeletons and post them on your Instagram feed to enter the giveaway! Each skeleton = 1 entry. One lucky winner who finds all 11 skeletons will win the Grand Prize announced on Halloween! Begin the bone-chilling chase today: Walk along South Street between Front and 11th Streets to find the skeleton hidden on every block!
Giveaway Info: Post your skeleton photos on Instagram (feed posts) tagging the business where you found it, South Street (@southstreetphilly), and using the hashtag: #SkeletonsOnSouth! Does not have to be from your personal account! Plenty of our community submissions are from accounts our neighbors have created solely for this purpose.
How To Enter:

- Make an Instagram feed post (story submissions can’t be accepted) from a public account
- Tag the local business, South Street (@southstreetphilly), and use the hashtag #SkeletonsOnSouth
- Winners will be announced on Instagram 10/17 and 10/24, with the Grand Prize winner to be announced 10/31.
- Prizes include seasonal giveaways from our 10/26 Candy Crawl sponsor Frankford Candy (@frankfordcandy) as well as SSHD businesses.
- Email Submissions: Don’t have social media? No problem! You can enter the contest by emailing your submissions to [email protected].
