Meri Adelman’s “Clay Bodies” — 3rd Street Gallery

Where: 3rd Street Gallery, 610 S. 3rd Street
Meri Adelman’s art show “Clay Bodies” opens at 3rd Street Gallery on Friday, September 23rd. The show will run through Sunday, October 23rd.
I love portraiture, most things ancient. I love when one edge abuts another I love space, that void which seems empty.
I love negative space (the stuff in-between the object you are looking at) and how it interacts with the positive; One cannot exist without the other.
The clay and it’s 3 dimensionality are a newfound obsession. As someone who has always loved drawing, clay provides a perfect surface to incise, build upon, and attach to. Plus, it goes around and around.
3rd Street Gallery is an Artist-Owned and Run Cooperative of local area artists. We’re located at 610 S 3rdStreet.
Gallery hours: Fridays, 4:00—8:00 p.m., Saturdays, 1:00—5:00 p.m., and Sundays, 12:00-4:00 p.m. For appointments, email [email protected]. Please visit 3rdstreetgallery.com for more info!
