Day of the Dead Sugar Skull Workshops
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens’ creator Isaiah Zagar included hundreds of Mexican folk art objects throughout the space. Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a significant celebration in Central and Southern Mexico that begins on the final day of October. In preparation, families honor their departed loved ones with an ofrenda (altar) and by decorating sugar skulls.
