Conny Parsons’ show “Technicolor Garden” opens at 3rd Street Gallery on Friday, August 26. The show will run through Sunday, September 18.
Botanicals and gardens have been my life-long passion. Spending time in my garden and those of my friends, as well as visiting public gardens and arboretums are a continuous source of inspiration. The delicate beauty yet resilience of botanicals, as well as the play of light on them, offers a sense of wonderment and serenity. The work exhibited in this show displays the technicolor splendor of botanicals. In this series of oil paintings working with the play of light, color and texture of these botanicals gave me hours of joy. I hope they inspire the viewer to see the beauty of nature in the world.
3rd Street Gallery is an Artist-Owned and Run Cooperative of local area artists. They’re located at 610 S 3rd Street.
