Carol Deutsch, “Idyllwild” — 3rd Street Gallery

Join 3rd Street Gallery for Carol Deutsch’s show “Idyllwild” from Friday, June 24th through Sunday, July 17th.

Art can transport the viewer to another world.  It invites the viewer to stop for a while in a different space and take a respite from the daily grind.

In “Idyllwild” I ask the viewer “Dew Drop In” on a world made of sumi ink, scratch board, gold leaf, and mica powder.  It is a place where “Innocence” dwells and “Sweet Blooms” “Waltz.”  In this space, one can stop and see “Twilight’s Prism: and contemplate other ways of seeing the world.  Here the viewer can get a glimpse of the “Kingdom of Uruk” and witness the meeting of “Gilgamesh and Enkidu.” In this world there are moments of humor and moments of quiet and solitude.

3rd Street Gallery is an Artist-Owned and Run Cooperative of local area artists. They are located at 610 S. 3rd Street. Gallery hours: Fridays, 4:00—8:00 p.m., Saturdays, 12:00—7:30 p.m., and Sundays, 12:00-4:00 p.m.
