Where: Kick-off at 5th & South Street + Best Dressed Contest at Headhouse Plaza
Hop on over to the South Street Headhouse District for the 90th Annual Easter Promenade on Sunday, April 9th! This popular Easter tradition is free, family-friendly, bunny-positive, and overflowing with fashion razzle dazzle!
The promenade kicks off at 12:30pm at 5th & South Street, and ends at the Headhouse Plaza on 2nd & Lombard Street! Grand Marshal Henri David will lead the pack down South Street, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Cottontail and several of their fuzzy friends (Psst: They all love to take selfies, and there will be two photo stations at the Headhouse Plaza)!
This year, FOX29 will be hopping into the mix as our media partner and their on-air talent will also be joining in the fun, including Alex Holley, Drew Anderson, and Ellen Kolodziej! Thanks to our candy sponsor, Frankford Candy, every contestant in the Best Dressed Contest will hop away with a goody bag of chocolate! Finally, we are proud to be partnering with Philadelphia drag queen Brittany Lynn, who will be walking in the Promenade, and the Drag Queen Story Time Program, which promotes literacy to children of all ages with style, flair, and creativity-while reading stories about love, diversity, and acceptance!
The Best Dressed Contest will commence at the Headhouse Plaza. Fashion enthusiasts of all ages and genders are invited to celebrate the day by showing off their most extravagant holiday-themed costumes. Hundreds of children, families, and pets enter the contest in hopes to win prizes in categories including:
+ Best Dressed Infants/Babies
