DESCRIPTION:Workshop attendees will be guided by local artist Lauren Fiasconaro to create their own sun print(s). No experience needed – just come with creativity and enthusiasm! Feel free to bring a small, flat object with an interesting shape to try printing with. Flowers, leaves or other plant matter work great! Otherwise, all materials will be provided.\nSun Printing, aka cyanotype, is an old form of photography which uses sunlight, iron salts and water to create a photographic print. It dates back to the 1850s and is characterized by a unique prussian blue color.\nThe event is weather dependent (we need at least some sunlight!) and could be cancelled due to rain. An\nupdate will be sent via email on Friday May 1 if it is cancelled and refunds will be issued.\nVisit the link to learn more about this class and sign up for one of the time slots. We are offering two classes on May 2nd the first is 11am-1pm and the second is 2pm-4pm.\nBio\nLauren Fiasconaro is a visual artist who works in eco-minded alternative photo processes.
